Mirrors of Joshua Go's Linux Guide

Last updated on February 26, 2006

Mirror sites are copies of a website set up so that users from different parts of the world can have access to a site that is geographically closer to them. They're also good for backup in case servers crash and data is lost.

  1. http://linuxguide.sourceforge.net/ - (Sunnyvale, CA) SourceForge mirror.
  2. http://www.ophek.com/~jtg/LinuxGuide/ - (Davis, CA) Hosted by Ophek.

If you are interested in mirroring this site, contact me so that your mirror can be listed here. I am looking especially for international mirrors. Updating should automatically be done using CVS. Please state specifically that you want to be a mirror listed here.

Here are the commands you can use in your web directory to check out a copy of the site.

$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/linuxguide login
$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/linuxguide co -P LinuxGuide

To update the site, go into the LinuxGuide/ directory and run cvs update -dP to sync everything up to the latest version.
